Australia's trusted voice in gaming media since 2019
VirtualOnslaught was founded in 2019 by a group of Sydney-based gamers who were frustrated with the lack of genuinely Australian-focused gaming coverage. We set out to create a platform that speaks directly to the Australian gaming community â with local tournament coverage, reviews written from an Australian perspective, and content that reflects the unique gaming culture of this country.
Today, we are a team of twelve full-time writers, analysts, and esports reporters operating from our office at Level 4, 11 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000. We cover everything from AAA blockbusters to indie gems, and from grassroots LAN events to international esports championships held on Australian soil.
Our editorial independence is non-negotiable. We purchase our own review copies, we do not accept paid placements, and our scores are never influenced by advertisers or publishers.
The principles that guide every review, every article, and every tournament report we publish.
We call games as we see them. A 5/10 is a 5/10, regardless of the publisher's marketing budget. Our readers trust us because we never compromise on integrity.
We review games as Australian players experience them â including server performance, local pricing context, and regional content differences that matter to our audience.
Our readers are at the heart of everything we do. We run community tournaments, accept reader submissions, and actively engage with the Australian gaming scene at every level.
We take the time to thoroughly play and analyse every game before publishing. Our reviews are comprehensive, not rushed â because you deserve more than a first-impression take.
We attend major Australian esports events in person, providing on-the-ground reporting, player interviews, and real-time match analysis that you won't find anywhere else.
We handle your data responsibly and transparently. No selling of personal information, no deceptive practices. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
